This notice explains what personal data Knowtropic AI, Inc. collects through this website, knowtropic.ai, and how we use them. Section 9 gives our contact point for personal data that we receive from the European Union for research.
1.Scope and updates
This notice covers the website knowtropic.ai and the emails you send us from it. We may update this notice; the date above shows the latest version.
2.Who we are and how to contact us
Knowtropic AI, Inc. is a Delaware corporation with its registered office at 1209 Orange Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19801, United States of America. For any question about this notice or your personal data, email contact@knowtropic.ai.
3.What personal data we collect
(a) Connection data. When you visit the site, Cloudflare, Inc. receives your IP address, your browser type and the time of each request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
(b) Visit statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
(c) Analytics, with your consent. If you accept analytics in our cookie notice or in Cookie Settings, Google Analytics sets cookies and records how you use the site, with an online identifier and your approximate location, and Google processes these data for us.
(d) Your emails. “Get early access” opens an email to contact@knowtropic.ai. If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name and what you write.
(e) Your cookie choices, which a cookie on your device records (Section 8).
4.Why we use them, and who receives them
We use these data to deliver and secure the site, to measure its use, to reply to you and discuss early access, and to comply with the law. They are received by the providers named in Section 3 and by our email provider, Proton AG, each for those purposes, and by public authorities where the law requires. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation or a similar law applies to this processing, we rely on our legitimate interest in running, securing and measuring the site and in answering you (Article 6(1)(f)), and on your consent for analytics cookies (Article 6(1)(a)).
5.Where we process them
We are in the United States. Our providers process the data in the United States and in other countries where they operate. For data from the European Economic Area, Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and on standard contractual clauses where it does not apply. Proton AG, our email provider, is based in Switzerland and stores emails in Switzerland, Germany or Norway.
6.How long we keep them
Connection data: for the limited period that Cloudflare needs them to deliver and protect the site. Analytics data: 2 months in Google Analytics. Emails: as long as we need them to answer you and discuss early access, and no longer than 2 years after our last exchange. Your cookie choices: 365 days.
7.Your choices and rights
You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through Cookie Settings at the foot of each page. You can ask us at contact@knowtropic.ai for access to, correction of or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, and we will answer within 30 days. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation or another data protection law applies, you also have the rights it gives you, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
9.Personal data we receive from the European Union for research
Researchers and service providers in the European Union may process personal data on our behalf for our research, such as personal data contained in web pages, queries and search results, and make them available to us under the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, Module Four). Our contact point for complaints and requests about those personal data is contact@knowtropic.ai; please write “Research data” in the subject line. We deal promptly with every complaint and, where needed, work with the researcher or service provider concerned to answer you.
